Analog is the new Book
Posted by: Kaite Stover

In a couple of months, anyone still using analog signals to capture PBS or “Gossip Girls” will be outta luck. The digital dictators have spoken. Get with the cable or get out a novel.

Personally, I’m looking forward to meeting those stubborn die-hards who refused to succumb to the temptations of the Sundance and Speed channels. And where will they turn up? In my library’s book groups.

Anyone thrifty enough to thumb their nose at the Cable Man will go looking for alternate means of entertainment that is equally fiscally responsible. Therefore, I project there will be an increase in book group attendance across the nation sometime after March 15.

Amazing. Technology is doing what we’ve been trying to do for years. It’s turning off some televisions and encouraging folks to read. Even The Walton Tribune thinks so.
