Gary will recognize this artist immediately, but I can’t resist posting my favorite work from biblio-sculpter, Brian Dettmer.

Imagine the conversation that would ensue if you could bring one of these works to a book group. Where to begin? With the title or the content? And what do you suppose the “author” of the “work” wants the “readers” to take away from the experience?

I had a chance to see a few of Brian Dettmer’s pieces at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI, this spring. These images are great but the works are absolutely captivating in person.
