Summertime, and the reading is easy?

Does your group take a break in the summer months? If not, do you try and choose “lighter” fare? Or if you’re a library group, do you try to tie your books into your summer reading theme?
Many of the groups I’ve worked with have taken the summer months off (or sometimes just July and August). Other groups have the summer meeting be a more casual “Book Chat” (which would be a nice tie in to a Summer Reading program). See this post from last fall regarding book chat programs.

Our book club read Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury for June. We wanted the meeting to be a tail-gate/picnic get together but the weather did not cooperate.
For July, we had several patriotic suggestions. We decided ended up choosing Common Sense.
