Leading a discussion? There’s an app for that
Posted by: Kaite Stover
I just became aware of a new application for iPad called Book Club Leader.
It contains discussion questions, book summaries, bestseller lists, and tips for leading successful book discussions. I haven’t had the opportunity to test it out since it is not yet available for iPhones, only iPads. However, the developers state they are working on versions for iPhone/iTouch and Android devices.
The one feature that’s touted on the website that interests me the most is the ability to filter the kinds of topics a book group wants to discuss–academic, general, personal.
As soon as I can try Book Club Leader for myself, I’ll post my impressions.

Thanks for the mention on your site. We are very proud of our new app for iPad and would encourage any of your readers to signup to be notified when the iPhone/iPod/Android apps come out (http://www.bookclubleader.com/keepmeupdated.php). In addition, we are looking for some focus groups that would like to give us some quick feedback in exchange for a free version of the app. Message me directly if you are interested in that. Thanks!
