Book Discussion Web Site Roundup
Posted by: Rebecca Vnuk
During yesterday’s Book Group Buzzing webinar, a question came up asking for good websites for book discussion groups. I promised that I would address that here on the blog. I’ve compiled a list of recently mentioned websites from my fellow BGB bloggers, as well as added some of my personal favorites. I hope they are useful! Please feel free to add some of your own favorites in the comments!

Hi, I wanted to offer up another Book Club resource: http://www.thecopia.com; The only eBookstore around that lets users for their own private or public discussion groups. You can post discussion threads. You can post your Book Group Library for prospective new reads. All you need is an account. And that free. Think of it: a book club where nobody has to cook…:)

These are good sites! I also like The Book Bench, from the New Yorker, which I get as an RSS feed.

The moderator of the webinar this week said a title list of the books discussed by the panelist would be forthcoming. Did I miss it in my email?

Hi Ann –
The book list can be found at http://www.booklistonline.com/bookgroupbuzz. It’s an excel file. A link to the archived full presentation will be sent out to participants on or around August 1st. Hope that helps!

Thank you for including Book Club Classics on your list! I would love any suggestions for making my website even more useful to book groups, too…
