Man Booker Long List Announced

The long list for the 2011 Man Booker Prize, one of literature’s premier prizes, was announced earlier this week. Although most of these titles are still awaiting American distribution, book group leaders should seek them out in hardback in preparation for forthcoming release in more club-friendly formats. These are likely to be among the year’s most buzzed-about books. Here’s the list:

Esi Edugyan–Half Blood Blues

Patrick McGuinness–The Last Hundred Days
A.D. Miller–Snowdrops
Alison Pick–Far to Go
Jane Rogers–The Testament of Jessie Lamb
D.J. Taylor–Derby Day
