Face to face discussions in a digital age

The virtual book group made the news recently. Nine groups used Skype to have a discussion with Meg Wolitizer earlier this month and you know what was different about it?

Not much. Folks were in their living rooms, sipping wine or tea, having snacks, and talking with the author and other readers about the book. They make it sound so easy! And it is. Over at Galley Chat there’s a list of Authors Who Visit Book Clubs and instructions for hosting a virtual book group.

Anyone can do it! Try it!
