All the Best Books Compilation: Your 2011 ABBC
Posted by: Neil Hollands
I’ve posted the link to the first edition of my 2011 All the Best Books Compilation (ABBC). This is my fourth year of compiling all of those different best books lists and awards into one convenient sortable spreadsheet where you can see how many different mentions each book received from over 150 authoritative sources. The compilation covers not just literary fiction, but genre fiction, graphic works, young adult fiction, poetry, and all kinds of nonfiction as well.
Beginning next week and continuing into early March, I’ll add more sources to the ABBC and analyze the results in each of ten different fiction and nonfiction categories. For more information about which books are included in the compilation, how it is organized, and what you can do with the list, please visit this link on my other blogging home, Williamsburg Regional Library’s Blogging for a Good Book. You can then follow that post onward to download the list itself, which is formatted as an Excel spreadsheet. Updates to the ABBC will be posted there approximately every two weeks until the compiling work is done.
I hope you enjoy this annual labor of love! It’s my gift to book lovers everywhere.
