Biblioweb: Read This! blog
Posted by: Kaite Stover
I’m swiping an idea from the lovely gals over at Shelf Renewal. They have a feature they call Web Crush of the Week.
Rebecca and Karen will highlight websites devoted to books, publishing, literary news, sites for readers. I have always loved that idea and I’m going to tweak it just a tad for Book Group Buzz. When I stumble upon a blog or website with content with special interest to book group readers and leaders, I’ll post a link here.
My latest find is Read This! The Peabody Institute‘s reader’s blog. There’s some snappy writing going on here about some quirky books, the publishing industry, and other random things the writers find interesting. The blogger profiles mention the areas of fiction preferred by the writers, but they appear to be willing to read and write about almost anything, especially books out of their comfort zone.
This is an award winning blog, too. Read This! was recognized by the Massachusetts Library Association in 2009 and nominated for a Salem Library Blog Award in 2011. When you’re done here, dash on over to there.

I for one think this is a great idea. Book-loving blogs deserve mention in other book-loving blogs. Feel free to post more recommendations. We’re looking!
