Hook ‘em then book ‘em
Posted by: Kaite Stover
We’re starting a new book group for teens at The Kansas City Public Library. It’s called Hooks and Books; it’s a teen book and fiber arts club.
Teens gather monthly to chat over young adult books and graphic novels from a monthly list and learn how to crochet Japanese amigurumi.
The facilitator offers a weekly introduction to crochet session on Saturdays and on the third Saturday of the month, the teens gather to discuss the current selection and work on their amigurumi.
The most recent discussion focused on Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I’m wondering if anyone finished crocheting one of these little dudes in between chat about Karou and Akiva?
